Enjoy a never-ending view across the vast plains of the Damaraland region in Namibia from the Ugab Terrace Lodge. Here you are accommodated in 10 private bungalows and 8 luxury tents, all en suite and overlooking the breathtaking landscape of the Ugab Terraces. The swimming pool is carved out of the mountain rock and has an unspoilt view which seems to go on forever. The cuisine at the Ugab Terrace Lodge is likely to excite even the most jaded of palates. They use plenty of fresh ingredients and the Lodge’s herb garden provides a signiture touch.

Damaraland is in the north of Namibia but one needs to remember that Namibia is a very large country. It will take you a day to drive from Ugab Terrace Lodge to the CAPRIVI on the border with Angola . Your first stop in the Caprivi will be Kaisosi River Lodge which is a family lodge just east of Rundu in northern Namibia . The next stop will be Ngepi Camp which is a perfect family destination in the Caprivi, Namibia along the Kavango River, also known as the panhandle of the Okavango River. Further to the east and about 900 km from Ugab Terrace Lodge is Kwando Camp and Mazambala Island Lodge on an island in the Kwando River in the Caprivi National Park.

You can easily reach Drotsky Cabins on the western panhandle of the Okavango Delta within a day from Ugab Terrace Lodge in Damaraland. From here it will take you another day to reach Nata Lodge on the edge of the Makgadigadi Pans or Khama Rhino Sanctuary near Serowe, or Woodlands self-catering ( self contained ) near Francistown .

You will most likely drive from Ugab Terrace Lodge in Damaraland , Namibia to Windhoek and then fly from there to Gaborone which is the capital city of Botswana .  Here you can stay at the The Big Five Lodge which is ten minutes from the CBD in Gaborone . A visit to Ugab Terrace Lodge will most likely be part of an extensive tour of Namibia. We are in Damaraland near the Vingerklip rock formation and from our lodge you can see Vingerklip Lodge which is another luxury lodge. Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is near the petrified forest, rock paintings and burned mountain and about two hours drive from Ugab Terrace Lodge. Palmwag is one of Damaraland’s best known lodges in an area where you can see both Desert elephants and rhinos.
